This was our first visit. When we entered, there was no one to greet or seat us. We were about to seat ourselves, when a gentleman appeared and showed us to a seat in the patio. This was a charming area tucked between two buildings. However, I think it would be difficult to get through there with a wheelchair without disturbing other diners. The metal chairs are very uncomfortable for a short person. I had to sit at the edge of my seat to eat. The server was very professional, but the service was slow. We ordered salmon and lamb chops. The food was very good, but pricey for a quick dinner out. One last thing, a couple of the servers were wearing t shirts with " The hotel" written on the front. On the back, one said something like, " only one drink away from the devil". The other said, " I only talk to God when I need a favor.". Why? We probably won't be back.
I'm sorry but this place is terrible. It's revamped Western decor draws you in, as it looks very modern and appealing. But you can't fix something that is broken by slapping a pretty bandaid on it.
The staff are horrible. No one greets you. They are not attentive or welcoming if you are an unknown face to them. They are only interested in their regular customers and friends. It's obvious that this is the place that 35 year olds and up come to get sloshed. Drinks and beers seem to be the only thing anyone is interested in and the food is an afterthought.
The word "Cantina" in the name and the decor suggests that the menu will feature some Tex Mex possibly. But the majority of the menu is just tired and unremarkable with mostly American dishes.
We tried the empanadas and they were gross. Really off putting. The dough just wasn't right. And the filling was bland. They were not prepared correctly at all to be called an empanada.
The kids butter noodles were starchy and smelt sour.
I ordered the quesadilla. It was greasy and 90% melted, shredded cheese. I didn't even touch the sour cream, pico de gallo and guac that came on the side because nothing smelled right or seemed fresh.
Don't waste your money here unless you came to just get drunk.
I will never be back.
Great food. Expensive but good cocktails. Limited vegetarian options. Separate breakfast lunch and dinner menus. Place has great vibe and outdoor seating. Peach old fashion was bad. El Fuego margarita tasted really good. That’s veggie quesadilla.
Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Superb service! I spilled on my sweater and a manager brought me over some soda water to assist with stain removal. Delicious food! Super tasty margarita!
Stopped in for the 1st time today for lunch and was treated to a great experience. Food came out hot and quickly! The gentleman we had who waited on us was easy to talk to and seems very friendly!
Overall, the place look clean and had great theme/decor.
Will definitely remember it should we ever make it back thru that way!!
Thanks!
While I give them five stars for food, service and atmosphere, they would get two stars for seating. The seats are too close together to be comfortable.
Apparently they're support to be a good burger joint. ( in my best Larry David voice, eh it was ok.)I was told the meatloaf was good. Smashed potatoes were delicious.
I wasn't impressed. The menu was small. I came to try because someone on the next door app said they had great authentic Mexican food. There were only a couple of items that were so called Mexican food and weren't really authentic. I ordered a salad with shrimp. The salad itself was good but the the shrimp were over cooked and hard. The guacamole wasn't fresh, it came out of a container. The shredded beef tacos had bbq sauce while the meat was very dry. The service wasn't bad but I've never been to a bar/restaurant that claims to serve Mexican cuisine and not make piña coladas. The atmosphere was ok but they didn't have air conditioning during a 90° day, it was very hot and uncomfortable.
